Sustainable Development Goals

APT’s strategy tightly correlates with the UN sustainable development goals that unites countries, businesses and society “as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity”.

Counting APT’s spirit, mission, and values, we believe that our contribution could produce a significant impact in the area of professional education and business development; therefore, we focus on 2 sustainable development goals: “quality education” and “partnership for the goals”.

The program directions that we pursue are:

  • Career guidance programs for youth in STEM.
  • Career advising for Ukrainian refugees.
  • Educational grant programs for talented youth.

Career Guidance
For Youth
In STEM

STEM learning is extremely important for young talents. The ability to understand data, apply data and develop solutions to complex problems are important life skills. They will continue to be, and more so in the future with the rise of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, cyber security, IoT, e.t.c. It will be vital for economic growth.

Concerns are being raised about the increasing demand for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) graduates exceeding supply.

Career guidance should start from the early adolescence which is an especially critical time when our youth are forming beliefs about themselves as learners, along with establishing career related goals.

APT is sustaining new and creative ways to inspire young people to consider a STEM career path. We want young people to be able to position themselves as the driver of their career, and not just a passenger. So, our role here is to navigate and help acquire the necessary skills through mentoring, education, and training.

Career Advising For Ukrainian Refugees

Since the beginning of Russia’s war in Ukraine, more than 8 million Ukrainians have fled their country. Many of them face a number of difficulties finding employment. Most are women with children. They can’t always speak the language of the country they arrive in, they don’t always know the labor market conditions, and their qualifications may not be recognised.

We are helping to connect refugees with employment opportunities. Services we could support with are:

  • Career guidance
  • Host country’s labor market overview
  • CV, resume, LinkedIn profile preparation
  • Preparation before an interview
